MBS Dirt Scooter Tyres and MBS RockStar Pro Hubs Explained
Royal and MBS working together is a bonus in terms of the tyres on Royal’s dirt scooters. MBS have years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in testing and manufacturing tyres and hubs for off-road use. MSB have designed three custom tread patterns for different uses on Royal Dirt Scooters, meaning Royal can make their scooters ride best depending on what surface riders are riding. The tyres are all 8″ (200mm) in diameter.
MBS T1 Tyres
A great starter tyre and all rounder. The MBS T1 Tyre comes as standard on the Royal Scout dirt scooter. If you only get one set of tyres these are your best option.
The T1 is still the faster 8” tread on the market down to its well defined centre bead and arched tread profile (MBS’s original custom tread). To add to that the T1 also remains the lightest tyre on the market making it a top option for freestyle mountain boarders all over.
MBS T3 Tyres
These come as standard on the Royal Scout Pro Dirt Scooter and are the bomb for off-road terrain as they give ultimate grip on dirt.
With similar tread elements to the T1 the T3 design builds upon this already tried and tested tyre. This new tread however has increased durability and multi-terrain functionality. The Split Centre Bead is modelled on the traditional T1 bead. A flatter profile in the design puts more rubber on the terrain. This expands the overall wear of the tyre as well as putting more grip on the pavement. A centre channel will help filter out water in wet conditions. “T” Knobs provide excellent grip in soft terrain such as loose dirt and wet grass, or on harder terrain with low tyre pressure.
MBS Roadie Tyres
MBS Roadie Tyres are designed with thicker and more durable rubber plys which means they are gonna last a whole lot longer on concreted ground or tarmac. Idea for riders looking for more speed in the skate parks or round the streets.
MBS RockStar Pro Hubs
Extruded from the strongest 6061-T6 aluminium then precision CNC machined, these hubs look awesome and are ready to take your best beating. Recently improved upon by increasing the stiffness of the rim spacer so they can handle even higher pressure than before. These will fit the MBS T1, T3 and Roadie tyre. A top choice for freestyle riders!
