The Grit Invader is the top of the range model from this scooter brand and it’s not hard to see why. They have pulled out all the stops to make this scooter something really special and the updated Grit Invader 2015 will not disappoint. If you are looking to go bigger opt for the Invader 125 spec.
Grit Invader 2014 Model
There are lots of new great features on the updated 2014 Invader released May 2014. This model boasts the Re-inforced Triple Channel 6061 heat treated alloy deck. Measuring 11cm wide, it is concave in shape allowing for much greater control when it comes to throwing trick and stunts. This Invader also has a NEW Skeletonised reinforced down tube which has an internal gusset to help to kept cracks and breakages at bay when you take a heavy landing. The deck also offers integrated grind tubes and cut out head tube.
The Grit Invader features the forged alloy single piece fork helping to make this section both strong and robust. This model has the sought after HIC compression system and the headset is updated to a Fully Integrated NECO headset to keep maintenance to a minimum. In similarity to the Mayhem the wheels on the Invader are 110mm with 88a spoked alloy cores and ABEC 9 bearings which have the highest tolerances.
With updated Grit ridged Soft Feel Grips & Grit Bar Plugs this scooter not only looks good, but also provides protection to the end of the handlebars. Another update on the 2013 version is the wider bars. The Chromoly “Invader style” handle bars measure in at 530mm wide (20.8 inches) and 550mm high (21.6 inches) so you get the super light weight feel you need but with the robustness necessary when stunt riding at this level.
The Invader scooter features the 34.9mm alloy quad clamp. The added Grit flex fender brake finishes things off, giving you the solid performance tools you need, in fact there is not much on this scooter that will let you down. That means that it’s all down to you to show off what you are capable of on this beauty!
Grit Invader 125 2014 model
This is a brand new model from Grit. With completely the same top end spec as the standard 2014 Invader this model is just a little on the bigger size! It boasts a 12.5cm wide Concave Triple Channel deck with flat sides and bottom.
The wheels are bigger also with a new 125mm 88A PU Alloy 6 Spoked Wheels with ABEC 9 Bearings. The Invader 125 being the first of the Grit models to have these larger wheels.
The bars are bigger on this model also at 600mm wide and 600mm high again giving this model the highest and widest bars of any of the Grit models to date. The rest is the same as the standard model above.
